Stripe Payments
Connect your Stripe account to accept card payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay from your trade customers. Payments are reconciled automatically - no matching bank transfers to invoices.
Why connect Stripe?
- Get paid faster - customers pay invoices in one click from the portal or via a payment link in the invoice email. No waiting for bank transfers to clear.
- Automatic reconciliation - when a customer pays, the invoice is marked as paid instantly. No manual matching.
- More payment options - accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Customers pay with whatever is most convenient.
- Higher conversion - a "Pay Now" button converts better than bank details and a reference number. Fewer overdue invoices, less chasing.
- Professional checkout - your customers see a branded, secure Stripe Checkout page. Builds trust and makes your business look established.
Connecting Stripe
- Go to Settings.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- You are redirected to Stripe to complete onboarding - enter your business details, tax information, and bank account.
- After completing setup, you are redirected back to Settings.
Once connected, Stripe is enabled across the platform. If your setup is incomplete, you will see a prompt to finish onboarding.
Payment Links
On any unpaid invoice, click Create Payment Link to generate a Stripe Checkout link. You can share this link directly with your customer or send it via the Send to Customer email action.
Portal Checkout
When Stripe is connected and a customer is set to "pay now", they see an embedded Stripe Checkout form during portal checkout. Customers enter their payment details and pay immediately. The order status updates automatically when payment succeeds.
Platform Fee
A 3.0% platform fee is applied to every payment processed through storq.io. This fee is deducted automatically from each payment before it reaches your connected Stripe account. Standard Stripe processing fees also apply separately.
Webhooks
Stripe sends webhook events to storq.io when payments complete or sessions expire. Invoices are automatically marked as paid when a payment succeeds. If a checkout session expires, it is cleared so a new payment link can be created.
